Bobby Goldsboro returns to Gallery at Avalon Island!
Recording artist, Bobby Goldsboro, best known for mega-hit recordings, “honey”, “Watching Scotty Grow” and “Little Green Apples” has recently found international acclaim as another type of artist; oil painter! The multi-talented Goldsboro has had six sell-out art shows in the past two years. He has only been painting for four years! He has sold over one hundred pieces of art, originals and prints. The Gateway Bank in Ocala bought thirty-one prints of Goldsboro’s work to permanently display there.
Goldsboro will return to the scene of his very first show, Gallery at Avalon Island in Orlando on February 18th. “I was new to the art world in 2008. I met with Jeffrey Shonkwiler at Gallery at Avalon Island and he convinced me to do my first show there. Jeffrey and Ford Kiene (gallery owner) opened the entire gallery to me and the show was a huge success. I owe a great deal to them for having faith in my artwork. I’m really looking forward to this show. I’ll have over thirty new paintings ready.” The art will hang from February 18th through March 10th.
Florida-born, Goldsboro began his art career by traveling throughout his home state, bringing to life the serene hammocks and prairies of the ever-changing landscape. He is now adding what he calls his “memories on canvas” from his travels around the world: Tuscan still lifes, large, bold flowers, horses, even abstracts! “I’ve started a series of abstract oil paintings based on photographs from the Hubble spacecraft. It’s a whole different kind of painting and I love it”, says Goldsboro. His use of tone and color has quickly gained Goldsboro a reputation as a world-class artist. His paintings are being purchased by fans and art lovers around the world.
Bobby Goldsboro’s music has always stirred the emotions. Now, his paintings are doing the same.
