Gallery Director Jeffrey W. Shonkwiler curates a different exhibition each month. Artists receptions are held on the Third Thursday Gallery Walk in downtown Orlando. Each exhibit is selected by Mr. Shonkwiler, Ford Kiene and Jennifer Quigley. Jeffrey W. Shonkwiler is President of Artists Registry.com, Inc. Ford Kiene is the building owner and President and CEO of City Beverages Jennifer Quigley is Principal of WBQ Engineering

Gallery at Avalon Island is an independent contemporary art gallery displaying works by local and International artists. A new exhibit is displayed each month with an opening reception on the Third Thursday gallery walk. Most artists' receptions are from 6 PM - 9 PM. Complimentary beer provided by City Beverages, wine and hors devours are served. Musical entertainment is provided by Joseph Martens and each event is free to the public.

Adjacent to the gallery is Guinevere's, a private cafe'. A separate gallery exhibit is included in the cafe' with an opening reception each Third Thursday of the month. Hourly rental of the cafe for private events is available.
